Optical illusion: Spirals are green or blue

Every day challenges appear on social networks that tease us and this one is very curious, I hope your head doesn’t hurt.

This is a pattern of brightness and the big challenge lies in the way the brain processes colors.

The image appears to show green, blue, and pink swirls… but all is not as it seems. The blue and green spirals are actually the same bright green color, as the closeup photo shows.

The optical illusion was created by Akiyoshi Kitaokaa Japanese teacher of psychology.

Most of us think of spirals as blue and green because of the Munker illusion: In short, our brain processes the color of an object based on what is next to it, the adjacent colors.
