This is the floating pool in London, 35 meters high

In England it is now possible to swim at a height of 35 meters and with nothing to protect you from the ground other than a transparent plate. So is the London floating pool. Would you be able to take a dip?

If you are afraid of swimming and heights, please stop reading this right now! Because what we are going to show you is a luxury that only a few can afford. Its name is Sky Pool and it is about the first floating pool built between two buildings and is located in the residential and business complex Embassy Gardens in London, England. A BBC drone took some shots on its opening day (June 1, 2021), and it’s impressive!

According to local media in Great Britain, the pool is 15 meters long, holds 148,000 liters of water and «floats» 35 meters high. Although it was designed by the British architectural firm HAL Architects, it was manufactured in Colorado (USA); from there he traversed North America by land and the Atlantic Ocean by ship. Once in London, they had to close streets and block traffic lights to bring it closer to a 750-ton crane, which was in charge of placing it in its place.

It is made from a single 35cm piece of acrylic and has a steel frame that secures it to the two buildings. To support the weight of the water, bathers and the wind without falling, the pool is not 100% rigidly coupled to the buildings, but rather leaves a safety space that keeps it stable if the buildings move.

Finally, we tell you that although the news is going around the world, not everyone in the city will be able to enjoy it, since it is a private pool for the exclusive use of residents and tenants of the complex.
