The former Miss Universe had a rather controversial step through the reality show in its Colombian version and that is perhaps what viewers in the country remember the most. During her participation in the program, Alicia disagreed with some of her classmates’ opinions, but when she left the production she stated that she was a victim of xenophobia. Also, there were characters like Marbelle who accused the Venezuelan of inviting them to prostitution.
After that crossing of accusations, Alicia Machado wanted to sue Marbelle for the MasterChef scandal, but in the end it did not go beyond a simple threat. After this telenovela, the queen was part of the same cooking program but in the Mexican version and just as it happened in Colombia, she could not demonstrate her culinary skills and she had to say goodbye to the competition.
Alicia Machado was also eliminated from Masterchef Mexico
The Venezuelan was the sixth eliminated from the Mexican Masterchef. She, she had to go to the elimination challenge after in the mystery box test in which she had to pass in pairs before the judges, she had some mistakes that the judges did not forgive her. Already with the black apron, she had to prepare tongue. Machado tried to make some tacos with her, but she left parts of the skin of hers, which is why it was not cooked well and was eliminated.
Far from what was her farewell in the Colombian reality show, Alicia left between the tears and applause of all her companions. Even one of the chefs who serve as a jury said that he did not want her to leave the contest.
Before leaving, Alicia Machado said “I know that God has good things for me; he has to have them, because I come from a very hard streak. […] I leave as a queen and with many things; I am very grateful to them for that.» and said goodbye to the kitchen.
