Edgar Ramirez Baquero, professor at U. del Rosario who censored a student was fired in the last hours.

They fired a professor from the U. del Rosario who censored a student
Even students from various universities have shared several messages during their own classes with which they seek to make a call for peace and fight for their rights; however, some have been assaulted for doing so.
This was the case of a young student from the Rosario Universitywho after sharing an image allusive to Paro during a virtual class of the Faculty of Jurisprudence on May 4was censored and insulted by her teacher.
María Camila Guerra, name of the attacked student and who also assured that she has a 100% scholarship, had shared an image that said ‘How difficult to study while they kill my people‘, something that completely triggered the teacher’s anger. Ramírez Baquero not only asked her to remove the image in support of the strike, but also yelled at her and kicked her out of his class.
Given the fact, the young woman made a public complaint through Twitter, which managed to have a great reception from thousands of Internet users. Such was the scope of its dissemination that the same university referred to it, saying:
“As a University we reject any manifestation of violence and discrimination. What happened in class with one of our teachers this morning is unacceptable. We reiterate the message of our institutional statement to promote respect for diversity and foster spaces for dialogue on the challenges of Colombia. We recognize that we are all different, but never indifferent to the reality of our country.”
Finally, through a statement issued hours later, the institution stated that after the unfortunate events «» we made a rapprochement with Edgar Ramírez Baquero, who starting in the afternoon He is no longer linked as a professor at the Faculty of Jurisprudence of the Universidad del Rosario.”
Later they apologized to the student who welcomed the university’s decision.
