Ingredients

  • 250 grams of cassava starch
  • 150 grams of corn flour
  • 250 grams of coastal cheese
  • 1 spoon of sugar
  • a tablespoon of butter
  • 1 egg
  • One teaspoon of baking powder
  • 150 ml of water
  • Bocabillo or sweet guava

Preparation

Step 1. Mix

To start you must mix the yucca starch, the corn flour, the costeño cheese, the sugar, the butter, the egg and the baking powder in a container and add the water.

Step 2. Knead

Once you have all your ingredients perfectly incorporated, you should start to knead very well for approximately 10 minutes to get the ideal pandebono recipe. To know that it is ready, the dough should not stick to the table or your hands. Then let it rest for half an hour.

Step 3. Assemble

When the necessary time has passed, you have to weigh portions of approximately 60 grams and fill each portion with the sandwich, the guava candy or leave them without candy (depending on your preference). Then you must close them and give them the shape of a ball.

Step 4. Bake

Once you have your pandebono recipe ready, you have to put them on a tray and place them separately to take them to the oven. Bake them at 200°C for approximately 20 minutes or until you see them golden.

Step 5. Enjoy

When they have the desired color, all you have to do is let them cool and then you can enjoy them with a good drink and good company.
