+ Detachment, power, autonomy, domination, but loneliness
– Influence, spirit under the influence or headache
Detached, powerful, sovereign, owner of the sky, the eagle flies a thousand feet above men. It symbolizes the power and overcoming of our earthly condition, the mastery of our own body by the mind, a penetrating gaze on everything. But it also evokes loneliness and a certain coldness.
In a second, more frequent sense, the eagle represents the mental influence that an outsider and influential person can exert. Sometimes that person is no longer physically present. There are two scenarios.
1) In a romantic relationshipthe eagle symbolizes the one who has a strong ascendancy over us. Here, the relationship puts us in a position to be dominated. It may be the memory of a paternal influence, the repetition of the influence relationship. Therefore, it seems urgent to forget this raptor that continues to «take the lead» with its psychic claws.
2) The eagle represents a character with a powerful charisma capable of impressing and imposing his point of view on his professional or political environment. Rules the mind of the dreamer.
In both cases, the dreamer is always the eagle's prey.
