Heartthrob of the class, Joey was so seductive that he managed to conquer some women with just that cheap sing, accompanied by a very scoundrel expression. Even Phoebe, Rachel and Monica had to resist to not be «hypnotized». (Don Juan tried to pass the famous xaveco even on Rachel’s sister, in episode 13 of the sixth season!)

Organized, methodical and ultra-competitive, the chef always uttered this phrase when the group played a game. It was in a word puzzle in season five, episode 5, that Monica explained her philosophy to her friend Phoebe: rules are fun because they “help control the fun.”

The crazy blonde’s favorite pseudonym. Sometimes Regina was a doctor. Sometimes French (and the pronunciation of the name gained a strong accent). Sometimes she was a college roommate. Or even an airplane part, in a lie that Phoebe invents so that Rachel gets off a flight, in the last episode of the show.

The supposedly Japanese word is accompanied by a gesture: middle and index fingers pointing to the temple. According to the paleontologist, it is a “state of full consciousness”, which, in theory, guarantees that he will never be taken by surprise. Appeared in episode 17 of the sixth year

In episode 15 of the third season, after fighting with Rachel, Ross ends up sleeping with another one. The slip-up would become a recurring joke for years to come, forcing Ross to justify (often by screaming) that it wasn’t cheating because, at the time, he and Rachel were separated.

It was the trademark of Janice, Chandler’s girlfriend in the first few seasons. Anything was reason for her to drop the catchphrase in her nasal voice – for example, when she re-encountered Chandler during a double date arranged by Joey, in episode 14 of freshman year. The phrase ended up being adopted by other characters as well.

If someone delivers unexpected news to the blonde, it is very likely that she will respond with this very exaggerated interjection, mixing surprise and disappointment.
