InfoPop: What does the Jurassic World map look like?

Isla Nublar

ILLUSTRATESThales Molina

gyrosphere

It’s a kind of spherical and transparent vehicle, which allows up to two occupants to approach the dinos safely (theoretically, right? We know what goes on in these movies…) On board, you can visit gallimus, triceratops, apatosaurus and ankylosaurs

Innovation Center

It was one of the most frequent settings in the 1993 film. Renovated, it became the main building of the new park. There, scientists work in the Hammond Creation Lab, children play at digging for fossils and visitors learn about the emergence, extinction and rebirth of dinosaurs.

Galimimus Valley

One of the novelties of the film are transgenic species, created by the company Masrani Global Corporation, which controls the new theme park. This is the case with the new galimimos, which are 3 m taller than the version seen in Jurassic Park. They run wild, in that reserved area

Cretaceous Cruise

If riding a jeep among the animals is already scary, imagine kayaking! That’s what happens in this attraction, full of stegosaurs. The path passes through the pteranodon aviary, the species that touched terror in Jurassic Park III (2001). The location appeared briefly in a slide presented by Hammond in Jurassic Park.

Kingdom of the T-Rex

It remains one of the main hits among regulars. Little is known about the monster, but thanks to certain scars that briefly appeared in the trailer, fans have speculated that it’s the same one seen in the original movie. The marks would have been caused by the velociraptor attack at the end of Jurassic Park.

Gentle Giants Zoo

This is where the herbivores are, which can be petted and fed by visitors. Kids get more out of it: they can interact with baby triceratops and even ride on their backs. The park recommends that visitors not wear a hat, as the animals may try to eat it.

Monorail

It is the main means of transport for visitors. Connects ferry arrival to 11 locations such as Egg Centrifuge, Hotel, Triceratops Territory and Botanical Gardens

Mosasaurus food

The new theme park’s big attraction is held in a tank. In the show, a shark is suspended above the water so that the audience can see a huge mosasaur jump and grab it. Its bite is more powerful than a T-rex’s! You can see it up close at the Underwater Observatory.

paqui arena

The pachycephalosaurus, easily recognizable by the shape of its head, gave thanks in The Lost World – Jurassic Park (1997). Now, he’ll have a show all to himself.

Botanical Garden

In the southwest of the island, it is home to about 2,000 primitive plant species – each of which can be consumed by at least one type of herbivorous dinosaur
