Fish showers are even common around the world. Animals are often carried away by waterspouts (a type of hurricane that originates in water). The phenomenon was also registered in Greece, in 2002, and in Singapore, in 1861, for example.

Japanese fishermen said that not only did a cow fall from the sky, it also hit their boat. Days later, the Russian Air Force reported that the crew of one of its planes had stolen a cow, but it became agitated and was then thrown into the sea.

Coincidence or not, on a Monday night when it rained apples in England, thousands of loon birds fell on a city in the USA. The species is migratory and was heading south of the country. Coxleyans witnessed a storm of frozen birds. High-pressure winds may have lifted the birds so high that they froze in the atmosphere. When the winds dissipated, the birds ended up plummeting.

A bunch of frogs fell from the sky over the province of Alicante, probably carried by waterspouts. Because they are very light animals, not all of them reached the ground dead. The same thing happened to frogs in a small town in Serbia in 2005.

Reports from Kentucky residents ran across the country saying chunks of meat had fallen like snowflakes. Two brave farmers decided to try it. For them it would be pieces of lamb or venison, probably vomited up by a large group of vultures.

A strange snow, which came to be known as «blue ice», covered the roof of a house in Pennsylvania. The most likely hypothesis was that the suspected flakes were human waste that leaked from the toilet of an airplane and froze in the atmosphere when it fell.

The province of Choco witnessed a rain of blood right after a storm. Some birds are believed to have collided with each other and bled. However, city priests claimed that it would be a warning from God for the sins of the residents.
9) SPIDER

Photographer Christian Gaona was hiking on the mountain of San Bernardo, in Salta. Then he noticed that the ground was littered with spiders (measuring up to 10 cm), but when he looked up, he saw that they were falling from the sky! They were possibly carried by the wind.
