Precisely 1,141,800 little pieces! The gigantic jigsaw puzzle was assembled next to the central square of the city of Ravensburg, in southern Germany, and is the result of the joining of around 4,500 smaller puzzles, which depict different motifs, such as landscapes and animals. When the last piece was fitted, the bichão occupied an area of 600 m2, enough space to accommodate 25 buses side by side. The feat, which had the participation of 15,000 people and took just five hours to complete, took place at the very end of September 2008, but still needs to be homologated by Guinness, the book of records. Meanwhile, the record remains in the hands of a “runt” puzzle of 212,323 pieces, assembled in 2002 in Singapore. :-0
