Is it true that keeping a condom in your wallet is bad?
Olla – It depends on the weather. In a smaller pocket or wallet, it can suffer excessive pressure or friction, which can compromise its physical characteristics. If it is in the bag, avoid placing it near sharp objects or objects that could damage the packaging (barrettes, hairpins or keys). In addition, condoms should not be exposed to strong heat, moisture and light, as their physical properties are at risk of being compromised. This means that the volumetric capacity and burst pressure can change.
Using two condoms – one on top of the other – protects more?
Dan Marun, CEO of Prudence – Quite the opposite. Overlapping use encourages tears and fissures, due to the friction between the walls of the condoms.
Is there a penis too big for a condom?
Dan Marun (Prudence) – No. Condoms are highly elastic, adapting to any anatomy. Even so, there are products on the market with a diameter larger than that usually used in condoms,
Olla – There are different sizes of condoms, but it is worth noting that what changes, contrary to what many believe, is the width of the product – not the length.
Do condoms have an expiration date?
Olla – Yes. Therefore, when buying, it is worth paying attention to the manufacturing and expiry dates and even if the product has the Inmetro seal, which guarantees that all safety tests were carried out before leaving the factory.
Dan Marun (Prudence) – After the expiry date (stamped on the package), the integrity of the product can be impaired by several factors, such as dryness of the latex, which increases the risk of tears, for example.
