You can thank serotonin. Serotonin is the brain’s preferred antidepressant drug. It arises when you feel that your life and your efforts matter.\n<\/p>\n Do you feel ‘hungry’ (hungry and angry)? Since 80 percent of serotonin exists in the stomach, skipping meals depletes serotonin, which can lead to moodiness.\n<\/p>\n If you’ve ever hit your thumb with a hammer, stubbed your toe, or experienced a \u00abrunner’s high,\u00bb then you know what endorphins feel like.
