What your gym workout says about you
Using the machines or training in a group are different alternatives that you can choose in the gym; what you decide to do gives clues about the kind of person you are.
If you have ever been to the gym, you know that there are many things that can be done there, from weights to dance and stretching classes. Apparently, the choice of one or the other could tell us a lot about ourselves and our way of being.
the columnist of EliteDaily.comSheena Sharma, spoke with John Rowley, a best-selling fitness author and certified personal trainer. He told him that There are three types of people who exercise:
- The quitters who go to the gym once or twice and then quit for good
- Timers, which go with a specific goal, such as «lose 10 kilos» or «tone up»
- And the amateur-cultivators, who start going to the gym with an intention in mind, but then end up loving it and making it part of their regular routine
Do you identify with any of them? According to the famous trainer, based on the training you do in the gym you can know what kind of person you are. Look:
- If you only use the treadmill, you are an evasive person
- If you only use machines that have weight, you are a person who prefers not to leave your comfort zone
- If you focus on doing weights (free, without a machine) you are a person for whom getting results is something very serious
- If you prefer group workouts, you are a person who aims for pleasant and memorable experiences, even in the gym
- If, on the other hand, you decide to train alone, you are a person who needs to escape and you use the gym to do so.
