The most expensive drops in the world are the true coral snake venom: 1 milliliter of it costs almost 60 thousand reais! To get to the champion of liquids, we looked for liquids of all kinds, from organic compounds (such as blood, poisons and semen) to fuels (gasoline), as well as liquids that we use in our daily lives (printer ink, mercury, perfume and beverages). To compare prices, we use a standard soda can, which contains 350 milliliters, as a standard measurement, and we convert the price of liquids that are sold in liters or gallons to that quantity. Some of the substances on this list are not even sold in Brazil, and the values can vary greatly, as they depend on how they will be used. For example, if one of the poisons is found to cure AIDS, its price increases. But, in fact, the poisons cannot even be traded. The price of the poisons we publish is that of the illegal market, according to the report by the National Network to Combat the Trafficking of Wild Animals (Renctas).
