It is a special edition of the book The Little Prince. As a matter of fact, the book is not small at all: it is 2 meters high and 1.54 meters wide. The famous story written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is told in 128 gigantic pages, which total 250 kilos and consume 450 m2 of paper. The record, recorded in Guinness, was set at the 2007 Rio de Janeiro Book Biennial. It is the largest book ever published in the world. It can be purchased by fans on the publisher Ediouro’s website, for the modest price of 40,000 reais. The first version of The Little Prince was printed in 1943, in the United States, where the author lived as a refugee because of the Nazi invasion in his native country, France. The Little Prince is the best-selling French book in the world – around 80 million copies have been sold in more than 400 editions. It is also the most translated literary piece in history: it has been published in 160 languages ​​and dialects. The book of records also cites the largest book ever made (but not produced to scale) on the planet. The Superbook measured 3.07 meters high, was 2.74 meters wide and was published in Denver, United States, in 1976. Today, the whereabouts of the only copy of the work are unknown. 😎
