Margarita Ortega gave her followers a tremendous scare when she shared a photograph on her social networks in which she was seen in a hospital bed and channeled.
“A virus took over my ear. Result: Viral vestibular neuritis = Vertigo. Hospitalized for three to five days. Dizzy hugs to all.”
He wrote on his Instagram account next to the image
But what does Margarita Ortega Cadavid’s vestibular neuritis consist of?
As Margarita herself indicates in the post, vestibular neuritis is usually of viral origin. What happens is that the virus (usually one that causes the flu) causes the ear nerve to become inflamed.
Consequently, the patient feels vertigo, dizziness, spinning sensation, and lack of balanceaccompanied by nausea, vomiting, sweating or palpitations.

Treatment consists of directly treating the symptoms, which may require, as in the case of Margarita, hospital stay.
Although this disease does not affect hearing, it can be quite annoying, since vertigo leaves those who suffer from it totally out of action.
