Visitor Question or Comment:
What is a monochrome screen?
Response from ALEGSA.com.ar:
In computing, a screen is monochrome when it only has two colors. It is actually a single color and the color of the background (usually black or dark gray).
For example, on calculators and similar devices the background color is usually a gray-green and the letters are black.
Monochrome displays on (older) computer monitors used to use a single color: white, gray, amber, or green, plus the background color of the screen.
In old cell phones, the wallpaper is usually grayish and the letters are black.
Currently there are monochrome LED screens that have a black or dark gray background, and the LEDs are of a single color.
For more information I suggest to see: Monochromatic
