What are the differences between animal milks?

ILLUSTRA: Illusory Space

The main ones are their nutritional values. Protein, fat, calorie and mineral contents vary, sometimes dramatically. And, although all mammals can consume milk from other species without very serious consequences, breast milk is tailor-made for the healthy growth of each animal. Whale juice, for example, is rich in fat, because the calves need to “fatten up” quickly and because the liquid needs to pass through seawater without falling apart.

What color is hippo milk?

The world is not as rosy as the internet says

According to information circulating on the web, the lactating hippopotamus mixes with a red substance in its skin and ends up turning pink. It’s a lie. The red secretion actually exists: it is brown, but over time it takes on this color and serves to protect the animal’s skin from bacteria and sunlight. However, it travels through a different channel than milk and never mixes with it in large volumes.
