Tuesday, January 26, 2016. The once very popular Twitterrecognized by its “little blue bird” icon collapses. According to information issued through different highly reliable sources, this social network is going through one of its worst moments, since it was founded on March 21, 2006; which is reflected in the technical failures of the service, a drop in the value of its shares on the stock market and now the surprise departure of some of its top executives.

Through the official account of “twitter”, They confirmed that four company managers from the highest levels of the structure; have been removed from their posts. Specifically, these are four vice presidents from the areas of engineering, human resources, social media and production; responsible for key and vital functions within the organization.

According to Jack Dorsey, president, creator and co-founder of this social network; The decision has been made by the five now former employees, lamenting the situation and adding that with this departure there are now four of the nine professionals who made up the executive team.

Although apparently it has nothing to do with a mass dismissal measure, sources revealed that curiously the departure of these four executives and an employee; coincides with the repeated technical failures occurred during the last weeks, which caused the general suspension of the service in several geographical areas of the globe.

Nevertheless, days before the formal announcement issued by the President of “twitter”; US media confirmed that it was a mass dismissal and directly notified those involved, who would only be waiting for the administrative procedures to comply with the measure.

The structural changes in “twitter” they have been taking place since last year with the departure of Dick Costolo, who held the position of President; being replaced by the current executive, Jack Dorsey, who returned to the corporation; after being separated from the same position in 2008. Likewise, the value of its shares on the stock market has also collapsed by almost 50% and they are currently selling well below their original offer.

Despite “twitter” has been announcing the implementation of new strategies, the bad «streak» still continues”. Undoubtedly, it will be a year of a lot of work for its executives, if they want to see the «little blue bird» take flight again.
