Every day, more women opt for artificial manicure, because of the comfort and speed that it entails. It is a practical solution for those who bite their nails and also for those who do not know how to do a natural manicure –or do not have time–. They are becoming easier to put on and are made with better materials, why not try it?
There are two types of false nails: gel or acrylic. The first ones are thinner and, therefore, easier to install, cheaper and also more brittle. They are so natural that, if you do not want, it is not necessary to apply nail polish. Of course, when the nails grow they have to be replaced again so that they are not noticed. The acrylics are more artificial and it is convenient to give them a little color so that they are not noticed. They are also more durable; With good maintenance they can last up to six months.
To place either of the two types of hairpieces, the first thing we must do is cut and clean the nails well with a disinfectant, removing the cuticle with an orange stick and applying cuticle oil. File the nail gently, leaving its natural shape, and carefully removing the remains of filing.
If we are going to use gel nails, you have to measure them in relation to the natural nail, to choose the corresponding size. Then, you have to shape each of them, filing them from above and from the sides. The next step is to put a drop of glue on the false nail and stick it, placing it at 45º on the natural nail and then lowering it and pressing. Cut from above and file so that the difference between natural and false is not noticeable. The last step is to disinfect again.
Another possibility to show off a surprising manicure is to sign up for the nail stickers. As the name suggests, they are decorated stickers that can last up to 10 days. You just have to choose the ones of the corresponding size and that’s it, they shine without any imperfection. The only limit will be on your creativity.
