Tips for planting an orchard of aromatic and medicinal plants

Aromatic and medicinal plants are species resistant to climatic changes, pests and fungal infections. However, for them to flourish optimally and radiantly, it is necessary to be aware of their needs and care.

Therefore, the ideal soil for this type of plant is a slightly alkaline one, facing south in areas with cold climates, and very well protected from drafts.

When will I know my plants are ready to harvest?

For this type of plants, the best time to collect its fruits is at the balsamic moment of each species; that is to say, in the season in which the essential oils and aromatic principles are at the zenith of the plant. The balsamic time depends on both the species and the age of the plant, the character of the seasons and the time of harvest.
