This house underground is an avant -garde architectural dream | Digest Architectural

The interior areas, excavated in the rock, represent the «negative» spaces of architecture, and are the result of cutting and removing part of the rock from the hillside. The sensation of rudeness of a natural cavity is also systematically reflected in the choice of materials and the color palette. The stone, the concrete in sight, the wood and the metal are used precisely to create rough interior enveloping.

This soft decrease towards the interior of the Subterranean house slowly reveals the initially hidden spaces of the abode, with a two -sided view: the one who looks towards the sea when he goes down and the one who looks to the sky when he gets back. The exterior spaces have been conceived and designed differently according to its location, taking into account that life on the island develops largely to the outdoor. The semi -underground areas are closed by walls and, therefore, shelters, while the outdoor areas are free, exposed to the sun and wind.
