Tired of not being answered, a group of women created a fanpage on Facebook denouncing parents that they do not pay food to their children.
Each country has its own laws on parental responsibility, but in most places parents, even if they do not live with their children, must pass on money for child support to those who do; in Colombia we call that amount “food quota”, even though it includes more than just food.
Although it is an issue that can be punished by law, in the 21st century there are parents who ignore their children financially and refuse to pay mothers or caregivers said food quota. That is why initiatives such as the one we present in this note arise.
This is the Facebook user who denounces parents for food
A group of Facebook users from the Mexican city of Saltillo, capital of the state of Coahuila de Zaragoza, organized to scold irresponsible parents; they intend to get them, at least out of shame, to release some of the money they owe for the support of their children.
“If you don’t want to appear here, make your monthly alimony contributions.
If they want us to remove them, we will gladly pass them our bank account to remove publications (this is not a threat, or a bribe, just mutual help between administrators and debtors). –> it’s a joke 🙄 there is no lack of the offended who says that we are extorting 🙄
At the race shot, it already smells like roast beef in Saltillo from so much burning”
The administrator wrote in a post in which he explained, with his casual style, the objective of the page.
The most interesting thing about the case is the way they make the posts, because in addition to sharing the photograph of the aforementioned and airing details of the irresponsibility of the debtor, they make one smile, because they use black humor in the texts that accompany the images .
They write things like…
“This Brad Pitt Saltillan has not given his girl a pension for more than 4 years
We looked for him because the admin fell in love with him”
“This addict and womanizer, has watered children and does not give a pension, takes his two daughters out to eat (the only ones he recognized) 1 time a month and boasts on his facebook that he is a great dad 🤡 Give him a round of applause so he doesn’t get upset ”
«I use the pension thing for the braces for sure 🙊 and it didn’t even turn out cool»
