With a combination of cereals (rice, wheat and millet) an edible spoon was created in India It aims to replace plastic spoons. It is a ecological alternative which aims to reduce the production of disposable waste.
The project was under the development of Narayana Peesapaty, who created a line of edible cutlery with eight flavors that best suit the dish: cinnamon with ginger, carrots with beets, celery and ginger with garlic, among others.
In case they are not eaten, edible parts are biodegradable. They break down into so only ten days in nature when not consumed (as opposed to the 450 years it takes for plastic products to decompose).
