«Over the years, I have realized that our role is to suggest things that would not have occurred to the owners.»

Mixing furniture and objects

«We redo everything,» says Tatjana von Stein of the furniture, which combine custom pieces and Vintage. «The furniture we designed were manufactured by local companies to reduce the ecological impact.» The marble countertop of the kitchen and the face of the bedroom were designed by the Sella Concept studio. In much of the floor, the furniture was integrated, as the cabinets of the bedroom coated with silk fabric. The rest of the furniture has been hunted, including a fir wood center table from the 70s, a B&B Italian sofa, Punjabíes armchairs Vintage and ancient appliques of Murano. «This trend that is seen on the floor, this modernist and theatrical style, can be found in my furniture collection.» Tatjana von Stein celebrates the launch of its homonymous brand with a first collection of eight pieces entitled Mise in Scènemade in France with French artisans. Inspired by its passion for dance and theater, the collection includes a bar, a sofa, a armchair, a large dining table, a center table, two auxiliary tables and a screen. All this in a neutral color palette, oxide and gold yellow that captures the high -end style of the designer and her predilection for the Modernist aestheticexceptional crafts and noble materials. All is part of his personal footprint between maximalism and minimalism.

«On the last floor it is impossible to know what world you are, you transport yourself.»

Facing the challenges

The founder of the Sella Concept interior design is accustomed to designing eighty room hotels. Only recently has started working in residential projects of this type. His experience in the hospitality sector has allowed him to develop a fairly experimental style. «Think more about how the owners move.» On this site, the main difficulty was the distribution of the rooms: the bar, the kitchen and the dining room are connected to each other. So how to segment them to create personal spaces? The response of Tatjana von Stein is to build the individual worlds of each space with the help of design and furniture. His favorite assets are the old pieces and the striking tapestries.
