The leash is held on an ergonomically shaped soft handle. This lies comfortably in the hand, even on long walks.
The wide webbing is very stable and slides smoothly and smoothly through the handle. The neon color of the leash increases visibility for greater safety in the dark.
The leash can be operated with one hand. So you always have one hand free and remain flexible. There is a brake button and a permanent stop function. This way you can always determine exactly how far away you let your dog and when he should stay close to you.
Flexi Classic dog leash
And the company flexi sends another model into the race. The Classic dog leash is available in different lengths, the XXL version is 4.8 m long and suitable for dogs weighing up to 50 kg.
Here, too, users will find an ergonomic handle with a practical brake button. Operation is one-handed and intuitive. The dog’s behavior is corrected quickly and reliably.
The leash in classic black is elegant and unobtrusive. But they are also available in blue and red.
Ddoxx retractable leash reflective
The manufacturer DDOXX also has a flexible leash on offer. The leash is made of nylon. This material is very stable, resistant and durable. The leash has bright reflective stripes so that you and your dog’s safety is guaranteed at all times, even in poor visibility.
The zip line is rolled up and down with the help of a spiral spring made of stainless steel. With the break & lock system on the handle, you can stop the leash at the push of a button, fix it permanently and release it again, allowing you to control your dog individually.
The handle is ergonomically shaped and non-slip. Due to the soft design, it fits particularly well in the hand.
pecute dog leash
The flexible leash from pecute consists of a sturdy webbing with reflective seams. In the front part, this is provided with an additional, exchangeable buffer line. The buffer rope is elastic and prevents your dog from pulling too hard when romping around.
At the same time, it is also more comfortable for the dog to have a buffer zone instead of throwing itself into an unyielding leash. With the braking and locking system you can control your dog.
You can then release the leash completely at the push of a button, so that your four-legged friend can use the maximum length. The ABS plastic handle is ergonomically designed and does not slip in the hand. This makes handling very convenient.

The manufacturer GC offers the cheapest price and yet good quality. His dog leash with flexible, extendable nylon webbing is hard-wearing and durable.
The leash is highly reflective and ensures maximum safety at night or when visibility is poor. The unwinding and stopping of the leash can be controlled with the thumb. Thanks to the rotating carabiner, the leash does not twist and can always be rolled up without any problems.
The ergonomic, comfortable handle is non-slip and fits well in the hand. So you can easily go for long walks without rubbing your hands.
Purchase advice – What you should know before buying a flexi leash
What is meant by a flexible leash?
A flexible leash, which is also often referred to as a retractable leash, is a special type of dog leash. The name comes from the main manufacturer, the company flexi. This has been producing flexible lines since 1973 and has given the product category its name.
The special feature of a flexi leash is that you do not hold the leash in your hand as a rope or belt. Rather, there is a – usually ergonomically shaped – handle that you hold in your hand. Inside the housing is a winding mechanism that works through a spring-loaded spool, allowing you to wind and unwind the line as needed.
The leash can be stopped briefly at the push of a button. For example, you can keep your dog away from other dogs and walkers. If necessary, you can also fix the leash permanently, for example if you are walking along a street and your dog cannot have unlimited leeway.
As soon as the track is free again, you can release the brake function again at the push of a button and your dog can use the entire length of the leash again. While running, the leash is always kept on a slight pull. That way it doesn’t hang around in the dirt and your dog can’t get tangled in the rope.
For which dogs can a flexible leash be used?
A flexi leash is a great way to control your dog with one hand and enjoy relaxed walks.
However, since the leash is always slightly tugged, it should only be used when the dog is well on the leash. First of all, the four-legged friends have to learn not to pull on the leash and not to hang on the leash. Because that is uncomfortable and also very tiring in the long run.
When you walk puppies or pulling dogs on a flexi leash, they learn that it is normal to always have a pull on the leash and will be on the leash for the rest of their lives.
For all dogs that walk well on the leash, the flexible leash is a nice way to move freely without getting tangled in the leash or being held short. And a flexi leash is also very comfortable for the dog handler.
How long should a flexi leash be?
Basically, the length of a leash depends on various factors. For example, the size of the dog, the behavior of the four-legged friend and the type of use are decisive.
Retractable leashes come in a variety of lengths and designs. From 3 meters to 10 meters there is a lot to choose from. Many dog owners consider a length of 5 to 8 m to be ideal. So your dog has a lot of freedom and can move in a relatively large radius. At the same time, the dog is not too far away to quickly fetch it if necessary.
Depending on your preferences and the behavior of your dog, you should decide individually which leash you like best.
It should be noted that with very small and light dogs, some very long flexi leashes have too much pull. With their weight, the small dogs sometimes cannot counter the tension spring of the leash.
Are there retractable leashes for multiple dogs?
Anyone who has several dogs often quickly reaches their limits and has their hands full when going for a walk. There are special double lines for this, which of course are also available in flexi format. Several dogs can be attached to these double leashes at once and still be controlled with just one hand thanks to the handle of the retractable leash.
It should be noted that on some models only both dogs can be taken shorter or left longer. But there are also manufacturers who offer leashes that you can use to regulate two dogs differently on the flexible leash. This is of course particularly practical.
When buying a leash for two dogs, it is important to remember that the leash must be able to withstand the pull of both dogs together. Especially when there are several large dogs, there are not many models that come into question.
What alternatives to the flexi leash are there?
A classic dog leash can be used as an alternative to the flexible leash. This lead or everyday leash is used for targeted training of the dog and is used, for example, to practice walking on the leash. The leash is not very long, making it ideal for walking around town. However, with such a leash it is difficult to offer the dog enough exercise and freedom.
A towing line, called a drag for short, is a very long line, up to 20 meters longer. Lying on the ground, your dog pulls the leash behind him and thus has a very large radius to move freely. However, towing lines quickly become dirty due to the frequent contact with the ground.
If you want to take your four-legged friend short, you have a lot of rope in your hand. When hunting, so-called rescue lines are also used, with which the dog can free itself with a pair of pincer hooks. However, this type of linen is not suitable for everyday use.
