- 1 and 1/2 cups of sushi rice
- Cold water
- 3 cups of hot water for cooking the rice
- 4 tablespoons of rice vinegar
- 3 teaspoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 5 nori seaweed
- 1 and 1/2 cups of surimi in sticks for the filling
- 1 cup of cucumber in sticks, without peel for the filling
- A cup of carrot in sticks, without peel for the filling
- 1 cup cream cheese
- A cup of flour
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2 cups of breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil
Preparation of sushi with its traditional recipe
Step 1. Cook
The first thing you should do is put the sushi rice in a bowl and add cold water there. let soak for 5 minutes, then drain and repeat this action three times. Pour the rice into a pot and pour the three cups of hot water to start cooking. Cook it for 10 minutes and then put it on a tray very well spread out to cool. Go preparing the marinade, do it in a container putting the vinegar, sugar, salt and mixing very well. Pour this liquid over the rice and stir it well so that it is impregnated with flavor.
Step 2. Fill
Lay out the mat to assemble sushi and on it, put the nori seaweed. Moisten your hands a little with water and go adding the well-spread rice there and without leaving uncovered spaces. Very carefully, turn the seaweed over and you should now have the rice underneath. Add cream cheese in a row, make another with the surimi, with the cucumbers and on top of the cheese put the carrot sticks. Proceed to roll the mat to form the sushi and press well so that it does not come loose.
Step 3. Fry
Carefully pass the entire roll through the flour, then through the eggs (wetting the roll on all sides) and finally through the breadcrumbs. Refrigerate the roll for 10 minutes and then fry it in boiling oil. Flip over and let it brown on all sides.
