Stray help in Ukraine

The Ukrainian SAC team from has seven employees, including veterinarians, veterinary assistants, dog sitters and animal keepers, and travels to various municipalities with a mobile veterinary clinic. The mobile vet clinic is fully equipped to allow our vet team to perform neutering on stray dogs and cats wherever they are located.

During a field clinic, the dog groomers bring dogs to the mobile veterinary clinic for castration. The team works with the local community and educates residents on how to humanely care for the strays, making capture easier. Local residents are informed about the purpose of the project and understand the importance of solving the problem of stray animal overpopulation in their city with a humane approach.

Local volunteers and animal rights activists are often approached to help track down stray dogs. A volunteer or local animal lover is an incredibly important person who knows the city well, including where dogs are fed or where they typically reside. Sometimes an animal has a specific local handler or has been fed by an animal lover in the past, and these people can help make the dog feel safer and more comfortable at the spa.
