Spirituality: The search for harmony through colors

Therapy based on the vibrations of colors begins to make its way into medicine. The origins of this type of therapy are found both in pre-Columbian America and in Persia, where the cult of light, known as Ahura Mazda, was practiced; also in Egypt, in imperial China, in India and in Tibet, with Ayurvedic medicine.

In Egypt, at the time of Heliopolis -temple of light dedicated to the Sun-, the priests healed with the help of precious stones used as lenses that filtered sunlight.

In China, where energy medicine based on cycles and the five-element theory has been developed, observation of the skin color of patients was used as a basis for diagnosis.

Ancient King Solomon, whose existence is reflected in the New Testament Scriptures, also knew the secret of colors.

A model receives the benefits of chromotherapy, colored mud applications made with different minerals, to induce relaxation and eliminate the pain caused by stress.

This therapy has always existed in India with the Parsis, doctors from Persia, who were responsible for transmitting the tradition. Still today they use precious stones that associate the effects of the crystals’ own structures to their color vibrations.

Civilizations have always used colors, both in rituals and when working with their environment. Priest robes use their magical aspect according to the effects they are considered to generate. The stained glass windows of the cathedrals, due to the vibrations of the colors they transmit, detach believers from their ordinary concerns in order to lead them towards higher thoughts.

The white color is, traditionally, the color to signify peace because, due to its composition, it does not retain energy.

THE PROFUSION OF COLORS GENERATED BY GRAY.

Numerous experiments carried out around the world show that it is not the visualization of a color that gives us a certain state, but its vibration. Depending on how colors affect our moods, we should keep in mind, on each occasion, that there is always a color that accompanies us and this color can bring large doses of harmony to our lives.

At all times, on television, on the street, in the subway, in department stores, in night clubs, colors claim us, surround us. In the same way that we have become accustomed to the superabundance of noise, we have ended up not perceiving colors. They cancel out by profusion, since their combination tends towards gray. And yet, they condition us without our realizing it. Red is the color of passion and its energies stimulate the instincts.

The colors we wear are not the result of chance. The evidence of a thought/vibration-function/organ hierarchy entails the ideal aspiration to return to harmony between man and natural laws. You have to find a balance, regardless of the ucases of fashion and the media.

The wonderful character of uniqueness of each being and the law of rhythms encourage the rejection of wildcard formulas in the choice of colors. However, it is necessary to specify whether a color is chosen for itself or for the image that is desired, the ideal being the concordance between both options.

For a job interview, is it better to wear a dress that inspires confidence and seriousness or do you prefer to act as you please and present yourself as a harlequin? Freedom can also be applied to the game, adapting it when necessary to choose the right clothes and colors for each situation. Depending on how colors affect our moods, we should keep in mind, on each occasion, that there is always a color that accompanies us and this color can bring large doses of harmony to our lives. The work that appears in the image is by the artist Damián Aquiles, entitled «Infinite Time, Infinite Color, Infinite Memory, Infinite Destiny».

THE CHROMATIC JOY.

The contemplation of the chain of the twelve colors of the chromatic circle provokes a sensation of harmony, as if they communicated with each other by means of some secret language. They produce a sensation of dynamic joy, like the one aroused by the moving spectacle of the multicolored monkeys that swarm the ski slopes, emphasized by the purity of the light reflected by the snow.

Why don’t we use a bit of this chromatic joy to illuminate our grayish streets, whose dominant hues unconsciously express a certain fear and timidity when it comes to living? Why does man reject color to the point of enclosing himself in the lazy neutrality of greys? Colors can be considered as foods of a more subtle nature. We must also let ourselves be guided by our instinct which, depending on our state, «knows» which colors suit us.

Colors have properties that you have to know how to use. The warm ones stimulate, the cold ones calm down. Depending on our mood or our need for stimuli, we make use of food. In a self-service we diversify the menus daily, thus responding to an internal requirement of the organism. This principle that guides us in the choice of our food should also be applied when selecting the colors with which we dress and that also condition us.

COLORS FOR EVERY DAY.

One of the practices consists of making a color scale with t-shirts, sweaters, dresses or pants, arranged in the right order to appear before your eyes when you open the wardrobe and thus enjoy the joy they provoke when you get out of bed.
It doesn’t matter that behind the window the sky is gray, the orange color of our shirt smiles at us and warms our hearts. And certainly between this color and a magenta pink, you may need a half red, half blue vibe throughout the day. According to the principles of energy medicine, the causes of a pathology can be due to the parasitism of one vibratory zone by another, or an excess or lack of energy at the level of an organ or a plexus.

Life is movement and harmony, a consequence of the free circulation of energies. Any obstacle that stands in its way breeds disturbances. According to the principles of energy medicine, the causes of a pathology can be due to the parasitism of one vibratory zone by another, or an excess or lack of energy at the level of an organ or a plexus.

By impregnating ourselves with the subtle energies that colors give off, let us make an effort to feel their resonances. It is a key that, by gradually opening the infinite richness of our inner world, restores the feeling of union with what is essential.
