In addition, the limitation of house two bedrooms with kitchen, bathroom and independent bedroom in 27 square meters seems totally survey. The architect works the space trying to separate without closing. This is the direction of the slope that has been preserved between the room and the kitchen, or of the closet block created to divide the bedroom and the room, but that does not reach the roof. «I have created two bedrooms, one private, which is the bedroom, and another more open, for the dining room.» As for the openings, Marco Vieira placed the windows at the top of the bedroom, the bathroom and the kitchen, which allows to see without being seen and, in the case of the kitchen, also fulfill the low technical ventilation function. In the dining room and the room, although the glazing is of similar size, a fixed wooden element creates a geometry that reminds of the constructions of Louis Carré or Alvar Aalto, which worked with windows compositions throughout its width. An electric blind has its embedded engine on the facade, an aesthetic concern that Marco Vieira never loses sight of.

65 m2 turned into a dream place
In a beautiful neighborhood in Paris, the architect and designer Martin Massé received the commission to completely redesign the study of a painter. Distribution, partition, location of the bathrooms … The objective was to completely open the spaces of this interior, divided into two rooms, separated by a load wall containing chimney ducts, and therefore untouchable. «We decided to have the room, the dining room and the kitchen in the big background, all open, with the kitchen placed along the wall on the left, with low furniture to avoid a presence too imposing in the room.» Large storage columns are integrated into the walls as if they were part of them, and a long row of wood elements allows to open the view and to maximize their functions.
