They have experienced a lot, but nothing like this has ever happened to them.
In addition to monetary donations, animal lovers can also support the animal shelters with donations in kind.
The Humane Society of West Michigan also has a large white bin that visitors can drop pet supplies into.
But what a donor once discovered in the donation box shocked him and the employees of the animal protection society.
Every donation is important

The staff at the animal shelter are very grateful when people with a heart for animals donate various pet supplies.
Actually, it should be clear that the donation boxes set up for this purpose are only intended for objects …
Strange sounds came from the donation bin
HUMAN SOCIETY OF WEST MICHIGAN
Recently, an animal lover was on his way to make a donation at the animal shelter when he heard something strange.
A meow sounded in the donation bin.
He couldn’t believe his ears, surely no one would throw an animal in the bin.
Luckily, the donor did the only right thing and immediately alerted staff. They hurried over and heard the pitiful screams too.
What they found in the bin shocked everyone: it was a black and white cat with its basket.
«I was absolutely shocked, nothing like this has ever happened here,»
Julie Townsend, a shelter worker, told The Dodo.
The owner must have acted in distress

The kitten was immediately taken to the reception and veterinary department of the shelter.
Of course, they thought about the emergency situation in which the owner must have acted.
The black and white cat girl was so cute and charming, she was well nourished and had a soft, very well groomed coat.
Neglect or even mistreatment could therefore be ruled out. On the contrary, the kitten was loved very much.
They didn’t judge the owner
Of course it is the wrong way to give your pet in the donation bin of the animal protection association. Nevertheless, the employees sensitively contacted the person concerned via Facebook:
«We are so sorry you had to leave your beloved pet behind today»…
Brianna Shahly, marketing and communications coordinator for the Humane Society of West Michigan, explained:
«It’s important for us to show the pet owners that the animal shelters don’t judge them»,
Shahly told The Dodo.
The kitten became the darling of the shelter

The employees baptized the foundling cat Bayonetta. She quickly became the darling of the shelter.
«She is so kind and sweet»,
Shahly told The Dodo.
Now Bayonetta is looking for a new, loving family who will give her a forever home.
