In societies where monogamy is an unquestionable institution, like ours, infidelity swarms to the point that more and more couples decide to have open relationships, removing infidelity from the picture.
Now comes the question of gender. Along the history, the woman has been punished for committing infidelitynot only socially, but their livelihood, children and even life in some countries are taken away.

Also, most of them reoffend. Another survey found that 67.3% of male cheaters reported cheating on their partners more than once, compared to 53.5% of females.
