«Save Ralph» Video Against Cosmetic Animal Testing Goes Viral

In the last days in social networks it has circulated a moving and shocking fiction short film that has struck a chord with thousands of Internet users around the world. It’s really awful!

This belongs to a campaign of the Humane Society International and seeks to raise awareness about the brutality suffered by various species in the different cosmetic product testing laboratories.

The protagonist of this short film is a cute animated bunny named Ralph who with different effects on his body such as blindness in his right eye, deafness in one of his ears, lacerations and open wounds on his back; Go about your daily routine and report how is your job as a tester of beauty products.

Although in the video of almost 4 minutes, the furry man tries to show that his work is not as bad as it seems, the truth is that it shows the cruelty to which hundreds of animals are constantly subjected in experimentations for the approval of cosmetics.

Through an official statement, Jeffrey Flocken, president of the Humane Society assured that this short film is an excellent opportunity for let us all unite against this terrible practice:

“Save Ralph is a wake-up call that animals are still suffering from cosmetics, and now is the time to come together to ban them globally. Today we have a plethora of reliable, animal-free approaches to ensure product safety. There is no excuse to make animals like Ralph suffer when testing cosmetics or their ingredients.

The production had the participation of renowned personalities such as Zac Efron, Ricky Gervais, Pom Klementieff, Tricia Helfer and Taika Waititi (who plays Ralph), among others. In addition, it is expected that versions in Spanish, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Vietnamese will soon be released to obtain greater acceptance.

So far the impressive video has managed to gather more than 480 thousand views on YouTubewhile on Instagram it already has about 14 million 700 thousand.

It should be noted that although these cosmetic tests on animals have been banned in 40 countries (including Colombia) this is still legal in the rest of the world.
