Some individual fates are also examined in more detail in the exhibition: For example, that of the male lion Giovanni, who was abused as a tourist attraction when he was a pup, or the brown bear Rocco, who had to live in a tiny cage in Albania for years. Today Giovanni is a stately, healthy lion and leads a species-appropriate life in his natural home at the big cat sanctuary LIONSROCK. Rocco can build caves, climb and swim in his huge enclosure in the BEAR SANCTUARY Müritz. He can look for berries, push himself on trees and just be a bear.
