On average, how many people does someone have sex with in a lifetime?

Nine is the world average, according to The Global Sex Survey 2005, a survey sponsored by the English condom brand Durex, which had the participation of 317,000 respondents from 41 countries. A curious fact of the research is the division of the number of partners between men and women: they have almost four more partners than they do throughout their lives. And the Turks are the champions of sexual diversity, with an average of 14.5 partners, a number almost five times higher than the Indians, the bottom of the ranking, who share a bed with only three people. Asians, by the way, were the most modest among the interviewees. Looking down the list, India is followed by China, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Indonesia, and 65% of Hong Kong respondents said they have only one lifetime partner. The Nordics also stood out, but precisely because of the opposite of the Asians: only 12% of the Danes, Norwegians and Swedes had sex with the same person for their entire lives and the Swedes were the champions of sexual relations per year, with an average of 138 bimbadas. Brazilians were not interviewed in the 2005 survey, but in the study commissioned by the same company in 2004, Brazil not only appears, but also draws a lot of attention due to the average number of bed partners: 15.2, the second highest average on the planet (the first, surprisingly, are the Chinese, with 19.3 “victims”). In this survey, the world average was 10.5 partners, slightly higher than in 2005. Are people becoming faithful or more modest?
