Reichstag, Berlin
Foster and his team carried out the restoration of the German Parliament. It is the glass dome that has an urban vision of 360 degrees. Finally, the Chamber of Parliament can be seen from under the structure, allowing the visitor to feel welcome to the interior of Congress.
The Sainsbury Center for Visual Arts, Norwich
It is an art and museum gallery that is part of the Campus of the University of East Anglia. It was one of the first public buildings built by Foster in 1973 and has been considered as a classified monument.
30 ST Mary Ax, London
Also popularly known as The Gherkin, «El Pepinillo», is 180 meters high and 40 floors. It is perhaps one of the most iconic buildings in the so -called City of London, the financial center of the British capital.
Millennium Bridge, London
Also located in the city of London, England, it was a collaboration with the sculptor Anthony Caro and the Arup engineers to participate in the construction of a bridge that linked the northern part of the Thames river and the City.
Camp Nou, Barcelona
A remodeling that did not occur. In 2007, when the Catalan soccer club celebrated the 50th anniversary of its stadium, the club announced a contest to remodel space. Foster + Partners was a winner with a project inspired by Antoni Gaudí that respected the original structure and extended the capacity in 10 thousand locations. The project was pause for three years having not been approved by the City Council. In the end, the change of presidency in 2010 left the stadium without the possibility that the project of the British architect would prosper.
Projects in Mexico
SAQQARA DEVELOPMENT is a project of Foster + Partners located in the municipality of San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León. According to the firm's site, it will have luxury residences that use technology as the main element. In addition, it will have an 11 plants building for offices from which you can see spectacular panoramic views of Cerro de la Silla, the hill of Las Mitras and a golf course.
City Biometropolis Campus in the Mexico City It is a project of about 72 hectares that includes scientific research centers. Unfortunately, since 2012, it was reported that the project, located in Periférico Sur and Picacho-Ajusco road, is detained because in the subsoil important geological material was found.
