With this birth, everyone is wondering if a new record has been set.
Dogs can, for example four to five times as many babies bring into the world at once as we humans.
As a rule, a litter consists of about 6 to 8 puppies – but not so with this bitch, became the mother of a record-breaking litter.
Everything seemed normal at first
When the Rottweiler lady named Jessie was pregnant, her owner Eleanor didn’t think that something extraordinary would happen at birth.
When determining her pregnancy, it was prognosticated that she would give birth to about 6 to 8 puppies – a number that was quite common for dogs.
Everything seemed fine at first. Jessie brought on the day of birth 6 healthy puppies born.
But then Eleanor realized something was wrong – because her dog continued to show signs from severe birth pains.
Another throw
Eleanor was stunned when asked for more 7 hours later a second litter of 9 more puppies was born!
So Jessie gave birth to 15 puppies in one day! What an incredible surprise!
At first Jessie’s mistress was deeply shocked – but then the joy was all the greater when she saw the cute little puppies.
The Rottweiler lady now had a big task ahead of her, because she had to take care of 15 little babies at once.
She tried to help her dog
Eleanor wanted to help Jessie with her puppies, as she feared the bitch might be overwhelmed.
But the new mother didn’t allow any help! She didn’t want to let anyone near her babies – not even when feeding.
Jessie got really annoyed when someone got too close to her and her puppies. She would have done anything for her babies and even defends them with an attack in an emergency.
The Rottweiler lady simply wanted to take care of her offspring herself – and she did so with all her love and care. None of the 15 puppies missed out on her.
New world record?
Did the bitch with hers 15 puppies set a new record?
The answer is: no. Because even if the number 15 sounds like a record at first, it is the world record with 21 puppies born at once!
Even in her native UK, Jessie couldn’t break the record – because there a bitch managed to give birth to 18 puppies!
But that is by no means a reason not to be proud of yourself – because Jessie is such a great mom who gives everything, to feed and take care of all their hungry babies.
