Three letters that mean a lot NLP: healing power of words, which is the same as «Neurolinguistic Programming», which involves the implementation of mechanisms based on the power of words. How many of us have been involved in a sea of affirmations or expressions, which we insistently repeat, and which could be harming our mind and our body.
We know that words are the form of expression of thought, and that through them we communicate what we think about a certain topic, situation or event; they are vibrations of energy that affect our performance in each of the areas where we operate; Therefore, we must be especially careful when using them.
According to the principles of Neurolinguistic Programming, each of the words or phrases that we constantly repeat represent an energy vibration that affects what happens to us in one way or another, either positively or negatively. Hence the importance of not allowing ourselves to be sheltered by pessimism and repeating words or phrases that attract situations or conflicts that create disharmony in our lives; which in turn can cause physical and/or emotional ailments, which definitely affect our quality of life.
So, if the word has power, we are going to use it in a correct way; since just as they can make the physical, mental and emotional bodies sick, they can also heal them. Therefore, when using positive phrases, such as, I am healthy, my body is in perfect condition, my body is free of diseases, among many other affirmations; we are opening the doors to health.
Therefore, we must begin by replacing negative thoughts and words with positive thoughts and words; We must eliminate from our vocabulary expressions such as: I feel bad, I’m sick, I’m useless, I can’t heal, etc., since these phrases will only bring greater discomfort and ailments, which are somatized by the body through the affectation of the system mental and emotional, which are related to and have a direct impact on physical health.
It may be difficult at first to change your belief system, but if you do it with faith and persistence, your level of motivation will increase when you see the satisfactory results; once this is achieved it will be much easier for you to reinforce his new belief system; and he will use Neurolinguistic Programming in his daily life, since it can not only change situations of physical illness, but also moods, improve conflictive relationships, thus healing the spirit and becoming more cheerful and optimistic.
The basis of this entire process is «believing», because if you do not have the conviction that reality can be transformed, you cannot access the information necessary to obtain the expected results. It is also important to clarify that this process will be as fast as your desire, your intentions and the sincerity of your thoughts and words.
We must make an effort to change the paradigm and break schemes, creating a new belief system, where Neurolinguistic Programming should have an important place in your priorities, once this is achieved, we are sure that the path will be easier for you. , until totally changing his life and changing the people around him.
But if the people around you resist change, and do not want to accept that words have healing power from the physical, mental and emotional point of view, to the point of transforming realities of life, then you must follow your evolutionary path individually. , but never get out of the lane because of people who are unbelievers, show them with facts that your convictions and new belief system is effective and above all positive.
Only in this way will you be able to opt for a happy and harmonious life, where the disease is not welcome, and if it arrives, you will have a strong opponent who will attack it until it is eliminated, through effective tools, where the mind and positive words are essential to block the negative effects of the environment.
All this process that NLP or Neurolinguistic Programming activates for our well-being; It represents in itself a discipline through which an attempt has been made to explain how our brain works, in order to find precise definitions of mental patterns.
Therefore, by having the necessary information about these patterns and functioning of the brain, we are able to know ourselves, to evaluate the thoughts, expressions, attitudes and behaviors that are affecting us, and once recognized and accepted we can then change them with the use of techniques. and specific methods that will improve our communication skills.
Within these techniques and methods are the so-called reframing, visualization, the timeline, the change of history, mental maps, among others, which will help us to reprogram ourselves positively to achieve the objectives and goals proposed according to our life projects, or for any micro objective related to a situation that we want to improve.
This is how, through NLP or Neurolinguistic Programming, we can become fully aware of the appropriate language that we must use, of the expressions and affirmations that reinforce our positive side and that therefore we need to achieve satisfactory results on a personal, family and social level; starting from the premise that communication in its different forms is essential to optimize our personal relationships, and achieve important and transcendental changes in our lives; through a dynamic model that allows us to understand the ideal way in which the human being communicates with himself and with his environment.
Therefore, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) comes to represent an effective tool to change paradigms, which was developed for the first time in the seventies in the United States, by the computer specialist and psychotherapist Richard Bandler and John Grinder, university professor in the chair of linguistics at the University of Santa Cruz in California.
These researchers achieved satisfactory results when analyzing the differences between professors in courses attended by few students and those whose classes were full, despite the fact that all had a similar level of preparation and knowledge.
In this way, with the aim of explaining why these differences existed, they began to study the methods used by professionals classified as excellent in their profession, most of them communicators and therapists, such as Milton Erickson, creator of hypnosis Ericksonian and specialist in Clinical Hypnosis; Virginia Satir, pioneer in Systemic Family Therapy; Fritz Perls, Creator of Gestalt Therapy and Gregory Bateson, anthropologist and pioneer in social and verbal sciences, among others.
After developing this research, Bandler and Grinder systematized similar mental patterns in these professionals, managing to identify effective patterns of excellence that could later be used by any other person, in order to assess whether these patterns yielded satisfactory results like those obtained by professionals before. mentioned.
This whole process of analysis, interpretation and systematization of patterns was considered a discipline, which they called Neurolinguistic Programming, NLP, because the term programming is derived from mathematics and cybernetics, and therefore we find ourselves programmed by the memories and learning that we acquire through experiences and the belief system, so we have in our brain mental programs and behavior patterns on which we function.
On the other hand, the term «Neuro» is part of the name of this discipline, because in the process of information flow we are able to deactivate programs executed by neural networks and also activate other more positive programs that help us. allow paradigms to change.
Finally, the word linguistics owes its use to the fact that a system of questions obviously based on the language we master is necessary, in order to achieve deeper knowledge of individuals and their dominant patterns.
They used the technique of modeling – the observation and systematization of processes to recreate these specific successful behaviors. They systematized the patterns so that anyone can learn them and achieve similar successful results.
In this way, the NLP linguistic metamodel of Bandler and Grinder has represented a precision model, which uses language in order to deepen the knowledge of the person and their mental map, which according to its authors consists of patterns that are divided into categories:
The first category is the omissions, distortions and generalizations of the information; which are present by prioritizing certain information and ignoring what we consider less important (omissions), we change the information at our convenience (distortion), or we draw general conclusions based on previous experiences to understand reality, which represent the basis of the basic learning processes.
The second category is represented by the representational systems, which explain from the perspective of Neurolinguistic Programming, NLP, the existence of three forms of perception of the world, which are: the visual, which corresponds to people who pay special attention to the visual details and therefore their memories take the form of images, the auditory level that identifies people whose memories are based on words and sounds, and the kinesthetic level, through which memories come from bodily sensations, such as : gustatory, olfactory, tactile.
However, we make use of all the senses to achieve information processing, even though we have a predominant representational system, in order to be able to elaborate our mental map with our own system of beliefs and thoughts, which we can substitute at the moment we decide and let us become aware of what is not working well in our environment; and therefore, we decided to change it through a new system of thoughts and words, which have a really effective healing power; thus being able to heal not only our mental and emotional body, but also the physical one.
