Nicholas Symmes review: Xiaomi Mi10T Pro

Xiaomi It is a brand that has penetrated the market quite a bit, in fact, every day they are presenting more products in our country. From bedside lamps to scooters we can find them in their stock. This week I reviewed Xiaomi Mi10T Proa high-end equipment, but with a mid-range price.

Let’s start with its design, which to be honest I quite liked. We have a phone with rounded edges, and a very large screen. On the back, it has a ‘glossy’ glass finish which looks pretty nice, but is an issue with finger marks (a case is included though).

The equipment, which weighs 218 grams, has a camera in a hole in the upper left that does not bother anything. As for the sides, we have a right side where the fingerprint reader is on the lock button, which is quite fast to unlock the cell phone.

The screen, as I was saying, is very large, with a panel of 6.67 inches and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The pixel density has 395 pixels per inch. We have a very well calibrated IPS panel, and it comes with several color modes to be able to customize it to our liking.

In the screen settings we will find the option to choose between 60, 90 and 144Hz of maximum refreshment, that although 90Hz it’s perfect, it’s worth leaving it in 144, which will make your device experience faster and sharper.

The phone’s processor is a Snapdragon 865 with 8 GB of RAM, which the truth makes it have a fairly high performance. In fact, testing it with the usual classic tasks, it is very fluid from simple apps to those that need a large amount of graphics.

The operating system you use is Android 10with a layer of customization MIUI 12, which in my opinion is a stable and tremendously customizable system. In fact, I think we can change most of the options, with a style quite similar to those of IOS.

As for the cameras, we have a main sensor that allows us to take pictures of even 108MP. In fact, in my opinion it is a highly functional camera both indoors and outdoors. On the other hand, we have the wide angle that has 13 megapixels, which achieves a great definition in the image. The macro sensor comes with 5 megapixels with f/2.4 aperture lens. In addition, it brings a fixed focus in a range of 5-10 centimeters, generating a very good blur. In general, I think that the device’s camera is one of its positive and main features by far.

As for the front camera, it is made up of a sensor of 20 megapixels with an aperture f/2.2, They have very good results both indoors and outdoors. I know that for many this is the most important camera on the phone, so I can tell you that it is highly recommended.

Another important issue is video, where we can record up to 8k, with electronic stabilization that does its job quite accurately. I think it records well, but I’m still left with the result of the 4K, something that is also more optimal due to the lack of massive devices to reproduce the format 8K.

In the battery item, we have 5000mhz, which makes it a long lasting device. In addition, it comes with a charger with fast charge of 33W included, which fully charges the battery in one hour. And note that unfortunately, it does not have wireless charging, something that I did not like at all.

As a summary, I think it is a very good team with quite good benefits. The price is interesting and allows us to access a good team for a lower cost. The things to note are the cameras, the long battery life, and the processor with its great performance. Highly recommended.
