MYSTERIES OF TAJ MAHAL –

The remains of his wife rested in solitude until death reached the heartbroken lover on January 22, 1666 in Agra, India. Since then, his cenotaph of him (displaced from the center) keeps the remains of one of the men who conceived such a significant act of posthumous love.

As described in some historical documents, Mahal had requested Jahan to build the most beautiful tomb in the world. For this reason, this monument is recognized in addition to its fine finishes for the romantic character of his inspiration from it.

It is considered that for its construction the support of 20 thousand workers was needed before the attentive gaze of the architect of the court, Ustad Ahmad Lahori, who allegedly was mutilated and blinded at the end of the work with the purpose of incapacitating him and could not design something capable of overshadowing the palace of his beloved one.

The group of walled buildings recognized worldwide by the mausoleum covered in white marble, occupies 17 hectares of land that includes a temple of Islamic religious cult, a house for guests and infinity of beautiful gardens

Its exquisite Mongolian architecture combines elements of Islamic, Persian, Indian and Turkish culture. It is considered one of the most beautiful constructions on the planet and since 1983 the Taj Mahal is a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational Organization Science and Culture (UNESCO)
