Minimalist design: introduces vintage elements in modern spaces

The owners of this department of 150 square meters with minimalist design are a couple who lives between Barcelona and Belgium. They wanted an apartment modern, respecting some original elements of the time. «Given the fairly deteriorated state of the department, the doors and windows had to be rebuilt,» says Sergi Pons.

Another aspect that reminds of that glorious decade is the wide lobby they designed with classic moldings. The gold of certain details, or the bathrooms with Modern taps but with an aesthetic Vintagethey remind us of the 40s.

The space design is distributed in two rooms, a large lobby, a study, two bathrooms, a kitchen with island, and a large-dining room. «We try to open all these areas to achieve a better communication between spaces and giving a sense of breadth «continue, even at the entrance.

Two advantages: a grid space and a lot of natural light

Originally the department was divided into many sections with an outdated distribution. However, when being in the corner of the building with a privileged location and well -oriented windows, The space feels big and permeable. Thanks to this, the department enjoys exceptional light throughout the day.

From any point in the department We can see the trees of the parkwhich have taken the most. If we look carefully, translucent curtains and even the tone of the floor are a clear exponent of elegance in textile: their presence is not noticed and fulfill their function.
