Over 100 rescued by lions, tigers and other big cats live in our sanctuaries, for example in the big cat sanctuary LIONSROCK in South Africa. Most of them come from zoos, circuses or private households and led a sad existence until they were rescued.
Unfortunately, the sensitive animals that were born in captivity can no longer be released into the wild. In sanctuaries like LIONSROCK they find their way back to a life as close to nature as possible – almost like in the wild.
In addition to LIONSROCK, also operates the Big cat station FELIDA in the Netherlands, where particularly badly traumatized tigers and lions (e.g. from war zones) are given special care. With the Big cat station ANIMAL there is another center for big cats in Germany. We also cooperate with the Princess Alia Foundation in Jordan and have that there in 2016 Al Ma’wa Wildlife Conservation Center founded, in which big cats from war and crisis areas find a lifelong accommodation.
With their lion sponsorship secure the supply of our big cats!
