Letter from a mother separated from her son in the US will make you cry

It is no secret to the world that President Trump’s immigration policy is very extreme and does not respect age, religion and color and the following letter is a sample of what we say.

A woman named Levis wrote a heartbreaking letter to her son and made it known through her lawyer Michael Avenati, in it her words cause so much pain, even some media outlets in the United States have made it known, generating all kinds of comments .

This is the lawyer’s tweet.

Here is a letter my client Levis just wrote to her 6 yr old son Samir, whom she has not seen or comm with in over 2 weeks. They told her he was being taken for a “bath” & he would be brought right back. He is a gentle boy and very attached to his mother. She is terrified. #Enough pic.twitter.com/EnyDCaloft

Six-year-old Samir was separated from his mother with the excuse of taking him to take a bath. Levis hasn’t heard from him in two weeks. His story in the form of a heartbreaking letter is one of those that describe the horror that thousands of parents and children experience due to Trump’s immigration policy. It is a double pain, that of the woman who sees her son suffer and that of the forced separation of the defenseless child.

Some of the lines show how she tries to reassure her little one, «I want to tell you that everything is fine»his words show deep pain and fear: “This separation hurts my soul, but I want you to know that I have not abandoned you”.

“I know you are suffering” and share it with yours: «I feel like a piece of my heart has been ripped out.»

Levis asks his son to be patient, “This is temporary. You’ll see that soon you’ll be giving me lots of little kisses” and conveys his love and strength «You are the love of my life, I am proud to have you as a son, hearing you tell me that I am a warrior fills me with courage to continue fighting every day».

The letter is full of hopes and promises for when they get back together but also words that try to describe a mother’s passion for her child.

What would you do if you were separated from your children? Comment here…
