Kids won’t be able to trick-or-treat this Halloween

Due to the pandemic, the president announced that this year children will not be able to go trick or treating to celebrate Halloween. Goodbye triki triki!

Every October 31, millions of children around the world, including Colombia, go out to the streets to ask for sweets, knocking from door to door or from place to place… Well, this year it will not be like that.

For the first time in many years, the National Government announced that there will be no “triki triki Halloween” for the little ones and that Halloween parties cannot be held due to the crowds.

Why won’t kids be able to trick-or-treat this year?

The announcement was made by the Colombian president during the television program Prevention and Action of last October 20.

“That they (children) can also, in the family environment, dress up, enjoy, enjoy. That the children are not going from door to door asking for sweets, receiving manipulated elements in other houses. Let’s look for this celebration to be joyful and family, but that we can have it with that sense of protection.

He said President Ivan Duque.

For his part, the Minister of Health Fernando Ruiz assured that parties cannot be held either.

“There are no Halloween parties. And all the children’s celebrations on this 31st (October) should be celebrations within the family, in the family nucleus.»

The minister explained.
