Process

Step 1. Germinate

Take a mango pit, wash it and let it dry in the sun for a few days. Then open it with the help of a knife (be very careful not to cut yourself) and remove the outer shell that protects the embryo. Take a container (it can be made of glass) and deposit fertile soil in it and implant the embryo there, leaving it to protrude a little from the soil. Now, water the contents and put the container in the sunlight. At night, bring this container into your house so that the cold does not damage the process. After about three weeks it will begin to germinate and when you see that it has some green leaves, it will be time to transplant it into a pot.

Step 2. Plant

You should have a pot that is hopefully deep, wide-mouthed, and has bottom drainage. Place stones at the bottom of this container to improve drainage and immediately fill the pot with fertile soil and compost. Make a hole in the ground using your fingers and plant the germinated seed there; refill the hole with soil.

Your plant could take about 4 months to appear, after that time depending on the weather and the variety of mango you have planted, you will see the maturity of its fruits and it will be time to eat them.
