- Egg

Preparation and how to make Colombian churros
Step 1. Make dough
The first thing is to activate the yeast. Heat the milk a little and then add a tablespoon of sugar and the yeast, stirring until it dissolves perfectly; hold for 5 minutes. To make the dough, pour the flour into a bowl and also add the salt and 20 grams of sugar. If you have a mixer, pass the mixture through there or if not, stir manually so that they are well integrated. Pour the activated yeast into the flour you just mixed together with an egg. Activate the mixer and once the dough starts to thicken, add the butter in two parts and continue mixing until you get a shiny and somewhat sticky dough. Take it to a separate bowl, cover it with a cloth and let it rest for 1 hour.
Step 2. Knead
You will notice at this point that your dough is ready because it doubled in size so you can start using it. On a tray or table, sprinkle a little flour, put the dough there and then cut it into medium-sized pieces and with the help of a rolling pin, begin to thin it. Once I have little thickness, then put one or several pieces of cheese and sandwich inside and wrap the dough forming a stick and also extend it a little more with your hands. Finally join it at the ends and you will have the shape of the circular churro and let them rest for 10 minutes before frying.
Step 3. Fry
In a pot or pan, pour enough oil for the churros to float. Also, let it heat up and then go frying each churro. You must be careful because this dough is fried very quickly so you should turn them in just seconds when they have their tan color. Take them out of the pot and sprinkle them with sugar because that will be the touch of flavor. You just have to let them cool for a few seconds and they are ready for you to take a bite.
