How to make an electric homemade lamp
The time has come for you to bring out those skills you have for crafts. Get the materials ready and invite the whole family to help you in this beautiful task of building an ornament for the house:
Materials
- Paperboard
- an aluminum can
- An electric rosette with its bulb
- an extension
Implements necessary
- Glue gun
- thick needle
- Scissors
- Screwdriver
Time required
30 minutes
Estimated cost
$21,500 (COP)
Process
Step 1. Paste
Using the hot glue gun, glue the rosette to the middle of the piece of cardboard. Now, cut about 3 cm of the extension in half vertically and peel it so that the wires are exposed. With the help of the screwdriver, loosen the screws that come on each side of the rosette and connect the extension wires there so that the energy passes. Tape a piece of the extension to the cardboard so it doesn’t move and is easier to attach later in the process.
Step 2. Cut
With the scissors, cut the can by the mouthpiece (where you drink) and using the needle, make holes all over the can (even in the lower part that has a slit). Now make a small square cut in the top end of the can for the extension to go through. Stick the can to the piece of cardboard using the silicone, so that it covers the rosette like a shell. Done, connect your lamp to the wall and you will see how beautiful it illuminates any space.
