How to bleach hair without damaging it? follow this procedure
1. Prepare your hair
Two weeks before bleaching, start conditioning your hair with deep moisturizing products; we recommend those that are coconut-based. You should also avoid the iron and the dryer.
Be careful, do not bleach the same hair twice; you should allow at least three months to pass after dyeing or perming in your hair If you don’t want to have roots, do the whole procedure only with them.
2. Section your hair into parts
Part your hair so that the crown section is secured. This way, you can work with the back and bottom of your hair first.
3. Make the mix
Pour the powdered bleach into the bowl, then pour the peroxide over it, according to the directions in the product brochure; blend with the tint brush.
4. Apply the mixture
Apply the product with the brush on each strand of hair, starting at the tips, leaving the roots for last. Remember to always start with the strands at the nape of the neck and work your way up. When you finish, let it act for 20 minutes.
5. Cover the hair: How long should the hair be bleached?
After 20 minutes, apply the rest of the product all over your hair, as if it were a mask (leaving the roots last) and put on a shower cap. Let act another 20 minutes.
6. Rinse
Rinse your hair with plenty of water, the Balancing Shampoo, and the Protein Balancing Conditioner.
It depends on the base color of each hair; For example, if it is black, it should be left longer than if it is brown. We advise you to do the test with a strand and take note of the time, before doing it on all your hair.
The blue powder is sodium-based and can be very aggressive, while the white powder is silicon-based, so it’s milder, but can be less effective.
Also, if you’re worried about the roots, don’t forget that there are dozens of little tricks to make your dye last longer, and you can find many of them at Vibra.
