How does Iron Man’s armor work?

DRESS DRESS

Originally, the armor was formed by an alloy of iron and steel, with small parts in technetium and niobium and the coating in fused silica. At that time, the armor had 11 layers. Currently, the suit is simpler, made of carbon fiber reinforced titanium and ceramic coating (used in bulletproof vests and car armor)

FIRE IN SALES

Repulsors help with propulsion and also with maneuvering during flight. Its active material varies according to the suit – some of those used were plasma, charged neutrons and, recently, muons (a type of atomic subparticle)

WINGS ON FEET

Boots are the primary method of propulsion, although some models have extra thrusters on their backs. In addition to the standard flight mode, there is also a supersonic mode and a more economical hover mode.

Curiosity: Early versions of the suit had skates built into the boots and a food dispenser in the helmet.

HEADSTRONG

Hermetically sealed, the helmet cannot be contaminated by smoke or poisons. The visor is retractable and a processor connected to the head captures signals from the brain, interprets the orders and passes them on to the suit.

I STEAL

In addition to protecting the Arc Reactor, the chest has circuits and channels that connect it to other points on the suit.

HEART EXPLODES

Installed in the hero’s chest, the Arc Reactor performs the cold fusion of the element palladium to generate the energy that powers the key parts of the suit. In addition, it is also capable of shooting an energy beam (the Unibeam)

VISION BEYOND THE REACH

What Iron Man sees with his augmented reality

1) Speed

two) Heart and brain condition readings

3) Mode: flight, crosshair or radar

4) Suit Diagnosis (highlights worn or compromised parts)

5) Status of the costume parts

6) weapon status
