How does a tattoo machine work?

(Rômulo Pacheco/)

1. By stepping on the pedal, the tattoo artist controls the electrical energy released by the source. It’s the same principle as the dentist’s little machine

2. Power passes through two coils in wire in copper, generating electromagnetic forces that pull the beater down

3. When pulled, like a magnet, the beater pushes the entire assembly towards the skin, piercing it

4. Together with the front spring, the key in Relay controls electrical current. When the beater comes down, the spring releases from the key and breaks the circuit.

5. Thus, the coils are demagnetized and the needle is pulled in back, restarting the process

  • To cover 5 cm square in skin, the machine makes up to 28,000 perforations!

KEPTIES

TRACE (RS)
A round liner it has up to 15 soldered microneedles – the more needles, the thicker the stroke. A round shader it has up to 18 microneedles, more widely spaced. Serves for shading

PAINTING (M)
A flat it is welded in a linear way and can be straight or curved – which offers a better finish on some types of painting, such as geometric ones. A magnum It’s basically a flat alternating, with higher and lower microneedles. It is used for filling in large areas where a lot of precision is not essential. It can exceed 30 microneedles and therefore causes more trauma to the skin

ETERNAL
Why does the tattoo not come off?

(Rômulo Pacheco/)

The tattoo does not come off because the ink is deposited in the middle layer of the skin, the dermis, which is not renewed. But, if not done well, it may not dye the dermis correctly. Then, the result, after a while, is a blur on the skin
